Google Earth Outreach

Just a quick thought (something Jeff Swann had brought up earlier this year too): The possibilities of incorporating Google Earth Outreach into marketing communications are pretty intriguing.

This is Google Earth Outreach's info site.

This is an example of its use by the US Holocaust Memorial Museum's Darfur project.

Any thoughts as to how our ministry might benefit?

I could see this being a really compelling way of presenting ministry activities, updates and feedbacks. It seems that it would really make ministry tangible to show activities (even prayer requests and praise reports!) in specific prisons, both domestic (probably first) and international. I know we don't often collaborate with PFI in PFM, but I think that's regrettable. Moreover, we *need* to raise more $ for PFI, because we only raise about $500K for PFI-related topics on an annual bill of over $2MM.

Anyhow, just my thoughts. I'm sure there are other good ones.
