This reminds me of something I've thought about before: It seems like it would make sense for us to identify public/popular folks who need our help in an organized, though privacy-sensitive, manner. Obviously, the main motivator is the merit: quite simply, they need our help (meaning they need Christ). Beyond that, though, there is surely benefit to having public spokespeople down the road.
Anyhow, this topic is more sensitive than a blog - however private - allows (thus no comments). But it's worth noting for future discussion.
