I've never heard of Tim Hortons. Which, evidently, guarantees that I'm not a Canadian. (Must ... suppress ... "wholly owned subsidiary of the United States" jokes...). What makes the breakfast chain so popular in maple leaf nation? The experience. [Didn't that used to be Starbucks' domain? Never mind...]
Anyhow, this Ad Age article about Tim Hortons got me thinking about our current plan to "broadband" prison visits. The time in prison itself will be intrinsically powerful, no doubt. But why would we ever settle for that? And, in and of itself, will that time in prison with prisoners tie The Experience to Prison Fellowship enough? It can't just be The Christian Prisoners Experience. Or, perhaps it can, but wouldn't it be better if it was The Prison Fellowship Experience?
If *that's* what we were aiming at, I'd think we'd want the bus ride there to be an experience. We'd want the time waiting around for clearance and escort to be an experience. We'd want the bus ride home to be an experience. How could we do that?
